week - General Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (flexible based on
candidate need) - Setting: Onsite - Hourly Rate: $47–$59/hr About
the Opportunity A growing charter school network with three
supportive and collaborative campuses in Lake County is seeking a
Part-Time Occupational Therapist to join their student services
team. This role is ideal for an OT who thrives in a school
environment, enjoys variety in their weekly schedule, and wants to
support K–8 students with mild to moderate needs. Position Overview
The Occupational Therapist will rotate between the three
campuses—one per day—to deliver direct therapy, complete
evaluations, and support students' functional and academic
participation. A case manager handles all IEP scheduling, allowing
the OT to focus on providing high-quality services.
Responsibilities Provide direct and consultative OT services to K–8
students with mild to moderate needs. Conduct evaluations, write
reports, and contribute to IEP development. Collaborate with
teachers, administrators, and support staff to promote student
success across school settings. Implement interventions focused on
fine motor skills, sensory regulation, self-help skills, and
school-based functional participation. Maintain accurate
documentation and service logs according to school and state
guidelines. Travel between campuses (one per day) as part of the
weekly rotation. Schedule is flexible based on the candidate’s
availability. Shared office space at each campus. Highly supportive
administration and collaborative staff culture. Qualifications
Active OT license through IDFPR (Illinois). Experience working in
school settings preferred but not required. Strong communication,
organization, and collaboration skills. Ability to work
