Job Description Job Description Road Logistics Specialist (Temporary) Location: Bensenville, IL Pay Rate: $16-$18/hour depending on experience Assignment Dates: 1 year Status: Temporary (Potential for Permanent Hire) About the Role We are seeking a Road Logistics Specialist to support ground transportation operations at a busy Chicago?area location. This position is ideal for candidates looking to grow their career in logistics and transportation within a fast?paced, team?oriented environment. The Road Logistics Specialist will coordinate customer shipments using contracted carrier partners, prepare required documentation, and ensure shipments move efficiently and in compliance with transportation regulations. Key Responsibilities - Communicate with shippers, carriers, and customers via phone and email to confirm shipment details - Dispatch pickups and coordinate delivery appointments - Monitor shipment activity and update tracking/status information - Prepare and review transportation documentation to meet routing and transit requirements - Work directly with carriers including dry van, flatbed, temperature?controlled, expedited, and LTL - Provide timely, solutions?focused customer service - Serve as liaison between shippers, carriers, and customers to support daily logistics operations - Ensure all transportation activities comply with applicable rules and regulations Qualifications - Degree or diploma in Supply Chain, Transportation, or a related field preferred - 1 year of transportation or supply chain experience - Familiarity with transportation systems and industry practices - Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills - Customer?focused mindset with attention to detail Company Description The professional staffing division of EmployBridge, America's Leading Workforce Specialist: When our Talent is looking for their next opportunity, we know they are not just looking for their next paycheck.
