Because we are a leader in the direct mail space, investing in technology and resources to facilitate innovative ideas, and we’re looking to add Scale Technicians to our 2nd and 3rd shifts. The primary responsibility of the Scale Technician is to process outbound letter mail pallets utilizing scanning and weighing devices. Responsibilities The candidate must have the ability to scan tray tags and pallet flags to ensure the integrity of the outbound mail trays and pallets. Label every pallet according to job numbers, kits/lots and shipping instructions and placing them accordingly Identifying and locating the right products during the delivery process Collaborating with production supervisor and leads to locate missing pallets, fix incorrect trays or information and replace damaged products Weigh and shrink wrap outbound mail and production material pallets to ensure safe transportation Operates pallet jacks and other machinery to move/transfer pallets to and from warehouse Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections Maintain company policies, safety rules, and keep work area in orderly condition (essential) Work from verbal and written instructions. Multi-tasking required (essential) Perform other duties as assigned by shift supervisor or leads Qualifications The ability to read numbers. Excellent time management and organizational skills Data entry using a hand-held scanner and basic computer skills Ability to lift 60lbs and to stand for long periods of time. Ability to push and/or pull pallets with weights exceeding 2,000lbs using a hand jack. Ability to meet work schedule and meet overtime requirements, including weekends. Attention to detail. High school diploma or equivalent.
