daily lives. General Description Responsible for leading and
advancing the Enterprise Master Data Management function across
Sumitomo Biorational Company (SBC) and Valent USA. Lead the design,
execution, and continuous improvement of the Enterprise MDM
operating model, including governance framework, domain ownership
structure, data quality management, stewardship processes, and
supporting tools. Act as a strategic advisor to business and IT
leadership to embed master data governance into enterprise
initiatives, integration programs, compliance activities, and
digital transformation efforts. Own enterprise master data domains
including Product, Customer, Vendor, Location, Recipe or BOM, and
regulatory related attributes. Ensure scalable governance,
operational discipline, and cross functional alignment while
developing organizational capability within the Enterprise MDM
team. Principle Responsibilities Establish and lead the Enterprise
Master Data Management function serving all SBC entities. Design
and institutionalize the Enterprise MDM operating model including
governance council, domain ownership, stewardship framework, intake
processes, and service level management. Select, implement, and
operationalize enterprise MDM governance tools and platforms for
workflow automation, metadata management, data lineage, and data
quality monitoring. Develop, standardize, and enforce enterprise
master data standards, naming conventions, and harmonized data
structures across divisions. Oversee enterprise master data domains
including Product, Customer, Vendor, Location, Recipe or BOM, and
compliance related attributes. Implement and monitor enterprise
data quality metrics, dashboards, root cause analysis, and
remediation processes. Lead enterprise-wide data harmonization and
cleansing initiatives to eliminate duplication and improve data
integrity. Partner with ERP, analytics, and digital transformation
teams to ensure master data readiness and structural alignment.
Establish and chair Enterprise Data Governance Council in
collaboration with cross functional stakeholders. Develop and
manage centralized intake, prioritization, and SLA adherence
processes for master data services. Build, develop, and mentor a
high performing Enterprise MDM team, including performance
management and succession planning. Present master data governance
maturity, risk exposure, and quality metrics to IT Leadership Team
and Executive Leadership as required. Qualifications Education &
Experience Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer
Science, Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
Master’s degree preferred. 10 plus years of progressive experience
in Master Data Management, Data Governance, ERP data architecture,
or enterprise data leadership roles. Demonstrated experience
leading enterprise level MDM transformation or centralization
initiatives. Proven experience implementing and managing enterprise
MDM governance tools and platforms. Strong experience working
within SAP or comparable ERP environments and integrated enterprise
systems such as Salesforce and PLM. Experience operating within
regulated manufacturing, chemical, or life sciences environments
preferred Technical Competencies Deep understanding of Enterprise
Master Data Management frameworks, governance models, and domain
stewardship practices. Hands on experience implementing and
optimizing MDM governance tools, workflow platforms, metadata
management solutions, and data quality monitoring systems. Strong
knowledge of product master, customer master, vendor master,
location, and BOM data structures. Working knowledge of ERP data
architecture and cross system integration dependencies. Experience
developing data quality KPIs and performance dashboards. Ability to
align enterprise data governance strategy with broader business
objectives Leadership & Soft Skills Demonstrated ability to lead
cross functional initiatives and influence senior stakeholders.
Strong strategic mindset with disciplined operational execution.
Proven experience managing organizational transition from
decentralized to centralized governance models. Exceptional
communication skills, including experience presenting to executive
leadership. Ability to build trust and credibility across multiple
business units. High degree of ownership, accountability, and

salary for this position ranges from: $178,000 to $200,000 .
Individual pay is based upon location, skills, experience, and
other relevant factors. Incentives: All full-time employees are
