Overview: Department: Respiratory Therapy Facility: Resurrection Medical Center Location: 7435 W Talcott Ave, Chicago, IL 60631 Schedule: 12-hour nights, non-exempt Sign-On Bonus: $15,000.00 We are seeking a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) / Respiratory Care Practitioner I (RCP I) to provide high-quality respiratory care and pulmonary therapy. This role includes mechanical ventilation management, pulmonary diagnostics, airway management, and emergency response, with accurate documentation of care. Responsibilities: In the absence of a supervisor, the CRT/RCP I may serve as Lead RCP, overseeing operations during their shift. - Provide respiratory care and pulmonary therapy per physician orders - Manage mechanical ventilation, oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and airway management - Perform and interpret arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis - Conduct pulmonary diagnostic procedures and patient assessments - Implement patient-specific care plans - Document patient care, interventions, and outcomes accurately - Serve as Lead RCP in the absence of a supervisor - Respond to critical care situations and emergencies - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams Qualifications: EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING 1. State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License required 2. Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current. 3. 2 years experience as a RCP preferred. 4. ACLS certificate within 60 days of hire and maintain current 5. NRP certificate preferred 6. PALS certificate within 60 days of hire and maintain current. 7. Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree preferred 8. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $33.50 to $45.09. The exact compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
