Job Description:
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty:
Critical Care Float Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift:
12 hours (07:00 - 19:30) Experience: Must have experience with
multiple ICU units, including Neuro ICU, Cardiothoracic, Burn ICU,
and Trauma Surgery. License: Must hold a nursing license from their
permanent address state or a compact license. Certifications: BLS
and ACLS certified through the American Heart Association.
Must-Have: Experience in an academic Level 1 Trauma center. Basic
Arrhythmia experience is required. Must pass a telemetry test prior
to starting. Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse who
would like to be part of a Magnet-certified facility. This role
offers the opportunity to work in a Level 1 Trauma Center.
Candidates should enjoy growing their career in an academic
learning environment. The position allows for autonomy and
flexibility in various critical care settings. Work will involve
supporting or engaging in Shared Governance. Travelers may be
scheduled in multiple units based on current staffing needs.
Floating is expected, and if the primary unit has no need, shifts
will be reassigned to complete the contract. All travelers must
have completed two years of acute care experience within the last
three years. While the traveler is on assignment, adherence to
orientation and training requirements will be mandated. Competency
assessments will also be required in the role. Pass/Fail testing
will have strict passing criteria. Travelers will have two attempts
to pass the telemetry exam, which includes identifying lethal
rhythms. If unsuccessful after two attempts, further steps will be
taken to address competency. Travelers are expected to work shifts
on weekends and some holidays as required by their assigned
unit.
