Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3rd Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice normally acquired through completion of a minimum of two years education at an accredited School of Nursing. License: Current Registered Nurse License or Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state. Certifications: American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required before orientation. Must-Have: - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within one year of hire. - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within one year of hire. - Trauma Nurse Course certification (TNCC) required within one year of hire. - Trauma education annually. - Stroke education annually. Description: The Registered Nurse is a practitioner responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for an identified group of patients. This individual demonstrates competency in delivery of care to a primarily adult population. The Registered Nurse job description incorporates essential functions of clinical nursing practice. Other duties may be assigned as needed. Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice is essential for this role. Candidates must have a valid state nursing license or a multi-state nursing license from a participating state. Certification in Basic Life Support is required prior to completing orientation. PALS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications must be obtained within the first year of employment. Annual trauma education and stroke education are also required.
