Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day
Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: CVICU experience required.
Experience and knowledge of NextStage CVVH machine required.
Experience in a Cardiothoracic Surgery and/or Acuity Adaptable area
preferred. Traveler must have completed two years of acute care
experience within the last three years. License: Traveler must have
a nursing license or a compact license from their permanent address
state. Certifications: BLS and ACLS must be certified through the
American Heart Association only. Must-Have: Basic Arrhythmia
experience is required. Traveler will be required to pass a
telemetry test prior to starting. Description: Join the
Cardiothoracic Surgery and Transplant team. Provide high-quality
care to patients on this acuity adaptable unit. Ensure care is
delivered with a mixture of technological expertise and a positive
commitment to meeting patient and family needs. Be an integral part
of a team that provides care for patients requiring specialized
care for cardiac and thoracic surgeries and procedures, heart
and/or lung transplants, and various medical devices. Travelers may
have shifts scheduled in multiple units depending on current
staffing needs. If the primary unit no longer has a need, shifts
will be reassigned to another unit to complete the contract.
Orientation will consist of 20 hours. Testing with strict passing
criteria is required. A telemetry exam will be required prior to
starting. Travelers will need to demonstrate competency in
telemetry as part of their assignment.
