Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Critical Care Float Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Must have experience with multiple ICU units, including Neuro ICU, Cardiothoracic ICU, Burn ICU, and Trauma Surgery. ICU experience with adult populations required. Must have completed two years of acute care experience within the last three years in the specialty submitted to. Experience in an academic level 1 trauma center is necessary. License: Must possess a valid nursing license from a compact state or from the state of permanent residence. Certifications: Must have BLS and ACLS certifications issued through the American Heart Association. Basic Arrhythmia experience is required for telemetry travelers. Must-Have: Traveler must be willing to work with Intermediate Care, Progressive Care, and General Care populations as needed. must pass a telemetry test prior to starting. Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse who is eager to join a team in a Magnet-certified environment and a Level 1 Trauma Center. This position offers an opportunity to grow within an academic learning setting. The role includes providing care in various critical care environments such as Trauma Life Center, Burn ICU, Neuro ICU, and Cardiac ICU. Candidates should support and engage in Shared Governance. Travelers may float to different units depending on current staffing needs. During the assignment, shifts will be reassigned to another unit if the primary unit no longer requires staff. The facility may require weekend rotations and some holiday shifts. Successful candidates will have demonstrated competency and the ability to perform in challenging care settings. All critical competencies will need to be maintained throughout the assignment. Travelers will be guided by orientation schedules and specific department requirements.
