Join us at Generations at Oakton Pavillionand love what you do!Responsibilities of the Director of Nursing (DON):Manage the nursing departmentDirect staff and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team to provide physical and psychological support to the residents and their familiesSupervise scheduling of sufficient staff to ensure uninterrupted service to the residents at all timesDirect involvement with interviewing and hiring potential employeesAssist in completing monthly audits of sample EMR charting Review admissions/referrals and assist in interviewing/selecting residents for admission with the Administrator's approvalServe as chairperson of the Quality Assurance Committee and any other committees as required by existing regulations or as appointed by the AdministratorPrepare clinical nursing reports for the quarterly Quality Assurance meetingsPrepare Performance Improvement reports as required by JCAHO guidelinesSupervise the MDS/Care Plan CoordinatorIND3Requirements:The Successful Director of Nursing (DON) Will Bring:Minimum 3 + years of Director of Nursing (DON) experience in high acuity facilityCurrent Registered Nurse (RN) license from the State of IllinoisClinical and supervisory experiencePrevious skilled nursing experienceOutstanding leadership and relationship building skillsCompassion, tolerance and understanding of older adultsGenerations - Our Family Caring for Your Family for Generations to ComeGenerations at Oakton Pavillion is a Premier rehabilitation and skilled nursing community in Des Plainse, IL, providing world class healthcare and concierge-like services for seniors.
