PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITIONResponsible for performing engineering and technical tasks, under general supervision, in support of Power plant operations. PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Perform engineering and technical tasks as assigned by supervision applying general engineering principles.
• Assure all engineering products prepared are in accordance with applicable safety analyses, industry codes, engineering specifications and all regulatory requirements.
• Participate in the development and implementation of effective processes and techniques at appropriate levels of detail and in compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Recommend format and methodology improvements to standard processes and procedures. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • BS Engineering, and 5+ years professional experience.
  • Has demonstrated solid or better results for at least 2 years and works independently in assigned areas of knowledge and skills.
  • Has completed assigned skills and knowledge development training to broaden and deepen knowledge in select areas.
  • Demonstrated ability to assist/mentor junior engineers on technical issues. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
    • Knowledgeable in control system design, instrument set points, controllers, DCS.
    • Demonstrated ability to assist/mentor junior engineers on technical issues.
    • Higher level of accountability than an Engineer 2.
    • Demonstrated proficiency leading cross functional initiatives at an asset/plant.
